I've been using Abacavir as part of my HAART therapy for 8 years now with no adverse effect. I have recently been assessed by my physician for cardio-vascular event/risk and as this was found to be low, will continue with the drug for the present. So suggest anybody taking Abacavir gets a similar assessment done as soon as possible.

Hello, I have been using episcom for about 2-3 years with out any problems. What has me worry now is that abacavir might be affecting my heart, should I ask my doctor to change my medication?
