Ex-Girlfriend Claims Former Met Is Positive, Had Unsafe Sex With Her

Ex-New York Met Roberto Alomar is being sued for $15 million by a former girlfriend who claims that he has "full-blown AIDS" and insisted on having unprotected sex with her, The New York Daily News reports. The 41-year-old baseball star—who retired from the sport in 2005 due to health issues—has not revealed publicly whether he is, in fact, HIV positive.

According to the article, Ilya Dall, 31, lived with the former second baseman for three years and watched Alomar’s health worsen over that time period as he developed the symptoms of late-stage HIV infection, including thrush, a cough, fatigue and shingles.

“The test results of him being HIV positive was given to him and the plaintiff on or about February 6, 2006,” the negligence suit says.

Dall, who broke up with Alomar in October, is demanding at least  $15 million in punitive damages, claiming that she suffered emotional stress and that Alomar exposed her children to the virus. When reached for comment by the Daily News outside her Whitestone, Queens, home, Dall refused to discuss the suit.

“We believe this is a totally frivolous lawsuit. These allegations are baseless,” said Alomar’s attorney, Charles Bach. “He’s healthy and would like to keep his health status private. We’ll do our talking in court.”

I don't want to judge either party until more facts come to light. She could be a money grubbing parasite or he could also be an egomaniac sex freak. I am sure the media will let it all hang out when as soon as they can.

Regardless of the money or lawsuit, as a PLWA, I hope for our reputation and for the love and respect we must learn to have for each other that this fella is truthful and did not knowingly have unprotected sex. If you don't know, GO HAVE A TEST AND TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR BODY.

Please be real lady. If he is positive how do you think he exposed your kids? get real and educate yourself unless he is having sex with your kids or sharing needles or razors and toothbrushes your kids are fine..... if he does have virus, if he did know and not tell you and had unprotected sex and if YOU are positive then you have a case otherwise no case and you are out for money.

I really think this is terrible. She knew before having the unprotected sex that he had HIV. She also needs serious education on the diease because her kids were not at risk for getting the virus just because they lived in the same household as he did. I hope in this case, the Judge dismisses the case.
