“Sing,” by Annie Lennox

Inspired by Nelson Mandela’s “46664” HIV/AIDS campaign (he wore No. 46664 in prison) and Treatment Action Coalition (TAC), an organization dedicated to providing lifesaving medications for HIV-positive South Africans, former Eurythmics lead singer Annie Lennox has lent her voice to the cause. Lennox has teamed up with 23 other top-selling divas—including Madonna, Shakira, Celine Dion and Fergie—to record the AIDS anthem “Sing.”

The track, found on her new album, Songs of Mass Destruction ($18.98), calls for “sisters” to raise up, respect themselves and let their voices be heard. But this melody does more than promote awareness. Proceeds for every single sold—$1.98 on iTunes—will benefit TAC. Who knew you could rock out and help save a life for less than two bucks?
