Improper English? The BBC’s Racy HIV Video
Parent and media groups call the BBC’s new online HIV awareness video, which puts toy action figures in a variety of sexual poses, pornographic and degrading to women (metro.co.uk, 10/9).
GI Jonny: To Inform and Protect, a BBC Learning production, chronicles the sexual adventures of Jonny and the villainous Captain Bareback. The video carries no adult-content warning, but the network says it is aimed only at ages 18 and older.
At one point, a female figure is covered with simulated semen. She later has an orgasm initiated by a pull string.
