Canadian HIV/AIDS Activist to Get Diamond Jubilee Medal
Bradford McIntyre, a Canadian HIV/AIDS activist, will receive a Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee medal in recognition of his advocacy, Metro Canada reports. Diagnosed with HIV in 1985, he started speaking out in the media in 1994 about living with the virus. He went on to start Positively Positive, an international HIV/AIDS newsletter. He continues to write about HIV-related health issues around the world.
