Brazil Requires Doctors to Report HIV Cases
Doctors in Brazil will be required to report HIV cases to state and federal officials, Fox News Latino reports. Previously, they were only required to report AIDS cases. Officials believe the new requirement will help them improve their overall efforts against the virus. They also believe that identifying people with HIV will enable health care providers to offer them treatment sooner, which would help prolong lives.
