A judge in Canada has rejected a $33 million lawsuit by a Toronto man who contracted HIV from his ex-wife, the Toronto Sun reports. Percy Whiteman met Suwalee Iamkhong at the Zanzibar Tavern, a gentleman’s club where she worked as a stripper. Whiteman argued that the club, the province and the federal government failed to protect him because Iamkhong was not tested for HIV when she arrived in Canada from Thailand in 1995. HIV tests are now mandatory in Canada for immigrants older than 15.
