AIDS Treatment Advocate Carlos Arboleda Dies
Carlos Arboleda, an HIV treatment advocate and former contributing editor at POZ, died Tuesday, April 28, according to the National Minority AIDS Council (NMAC). The cause of death was not reported.
He served as director of treatment, education and advocacy for NMAC from 2000 through 2002. During that time period he facilitated the North American AIDS Treatment Action Forum (NATAF) as well as NMAC’s Treatment Advisory Board and Prison Initiative, according to the organization’s website.
“Carlos was passionate about protecting the rights of those living with HIV/AIDS,” said Paul A. Kawata, NMAC executive director. “He will be greatly missed by NMAC and the AIDS community as a whole.”

Iam Carlos arboleda's niece i just wanted to thank everyone for being their throughout my uncles life and made him smile,their are so many things that i would love to say but for i now iam glad to know that my uncle has toutched so many people in so many ways in their life and i just want to say THANK YOU for trusting him and letting him make a change. i remember when i would dance to tango ,he always said he would teach me He was one of the greatest man in my life i can just hear him laugh...
