Discrimination Against HIV-Positive Workers in China
People living with HIV/AIDS in China should have a right to employment, and workers should no longer be forced to undergo mandatory HIV testing, according to a study coauthored by the International Labor Organization and the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Xinhua News Agency reports. The study documents workplace discrimination against HIV-positive people, including denial of job offers, forced resignations, mandatory job changes and demotions.
