90% of Parents in China Support Sex Ed
A new survey shows that more than 90 percent of parents in China support sex education in schools, Xinhua reports. The Beijing News and the local Maple Women’s Psychological Counseling Center, which studies women and marriage issues, conducted the survey. Held in response to a series of molestation incidents against children, the survey was intended to learn how much sex ed was being taught in schools. The survey shows that children receive little sex ed from schools or parents. More than 100 children ages 6 to 14 and about 1,100 parents completed the questionnaire.
