HIV-Positive Texas Man Sentenced to 15 Years for Nondisclosure
Christopher Everett of Texas was sentenced to 15 years in prison for having unprotected sex with a teenager and not disclosing he was HIV positive, kxxv.com reports. In June, Everett pleaded guilty to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The 26-year-old Everett met the 16-year-old male in 2009. Everett’s attorney had argued for parole because the teen has tested HIV negative. Everett also must pay a $3,000 fine.
