HIV Campaign Finds Common Ground
Rap star Common announced this week the launch of the Common Ground Foundation, Inc., a youth-oriented campaign aimed at empowering urban and disadvantaged youth through education programs. HIV/AIDS prevention—both in the United States and abroad—will be a major part of the initiative.
The San Francisco-based foundation will be headed by Jodie Blum, who has specialized in nonprofit efforts for 12 years, working in collaboration with world leaders, athletes and other celebrities.
“I always believed that if we started with the youth then we would be planting the seeds for our future to blossom,” Common says.
