2012 State Budget Eliminates Connecticut ADAP
Governor Daniel P. Malloy’s proposed 2012 budget eliminates state funding for the Connecticut AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP), The Connecticut News Project reports. The administration claims that state funding isn’t needed because federal funding is available and many ADAP recipients are eligible for a new Medicaid program for low-income adults. Advocates say that some ADAP recipients will be left without coverage. Medicaid co-payments and home care for the elderly would also be affected.
