HIV-Positive Airman in Kansas Faces 24 Charges
David Gutierrez, a noncommissioned officer at McConnell Air Force Base, Kansas, faces 24 criminal charges under the Uniform Code of Military Justice related to having unprotected sex with 11 of his partners—men and women—without disclosing to them that he is HIV positive, Air Force Times reports. The charges include 11 counts of aggravated assault, 10 counts of adultery, one count of committing indecent acts in front of others, one count of impeding an investigation and one count of failure to obey a lawful order. According to the warrant, Gutierrez regularly attended swinger parties and bragged to his wife that he did not inform his partners about being HIV positive.
