Black and Latino men are more likely than other Americans to contract HIV through drug use and related behaviors, participants in the 2007 National Conference on Latinos and AIDS heard yesterday. A 2004 study by the federal Centers for Disease Control (CDC) showed that these men are almost three times as likely to contract HIV through sharing needles as white men.
"I'm HIV positive and diabetic (as well as have high cholesterol) and some of my meds specify taking them with 'high fat foods' which I have to do twice a day. I've eaten as healthy as possible, but when it comes to high fat foods, I am in a quandary...about what to eat sometimes..."
