eBay AIDS

On a recent eBay spree, POZ typed in “HIV” and met sellers hawking everything from a limited-edition Betty Boop AIDS ribbon pin to an issue of People with Ryan White on the cover. But we also found curious “herbal remedies” promising to destroy the virus. Consider Omni Immune ($49.95 for 4 oz.): Seller Mark Sexton told us that despite a lack of scientific data verifying the product’s claims, “it will not just bring your viral count down; it will completely eradicate the virus out of your system.” eBay canceled Sexton’s account a few hours after POZ pressed the site for details.
