Gambian President Makes HIV New Year's Resolution
Yahya Jammeh, president of the West African nation of Gambia, declared in a New Year’s address to his country that he intends to build a hospital by 2015 with 1,111 beds to treat people with HIV/AIDS using his secret herbal remedy, Time reports. He has claimed previously the boiled herbs cure the virus. His goal is to treat 10,000 people with HIV/AIDS every six months. People with the virus must stop taking their antiretroviral medications when they begin the herbal treatment. Advocates have expressed concern that his herbal drugs have no proven healing powers.

Why is it that it needs to be so secretive with this president, why cant we onow what it is? What happens when the US comes with a proven drug or treatment that has gOne through all trials, passed by FDA and used here, does he expect for the US to ahare this treatment with his country? I would never hold such a crucial "treatment" from anyone
