Dozens of people in Georgia are at risk of losing their health insurance because of paperwork snafus by the state health department, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution (AJC) reports. The Health Insurance Continuation Program (HICP) is a federally funded program in Georgia that pays the private insurance premiums for low-income people with HIV/AIDS. A state health official acknowledged HICP made late payments in January, but that new policies and personnel changes have secured the program.
