Global Fund Considers New HIV Funding Model
The board of directors of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS,
Tuberculosis and Malaria has adopted guiding principles for a new funding model
that will change the way countries apply for money, PlusNews reports. The
details are still being drafted, but the model would allocate funding to
country groupings based on disease burden and their ability to contribute to
their own efforts. A final decision on the model is expected in November.
