Almost half of men who have sex with men (MSM) who use dating apps to meet sexual partners have unprotected sex, according to a study by the Community Healthcare Network in New York City and reported by Xtra. Freddy Molano, MD, and Renato Barucco surveyed 725 men who use apps such as Grindr, Scruff, Manhunt and Growlr. About 47 percent of them said they “always, often or sometimes” have unprotected sex. Respondents included men from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, South America and Eastern Europe.
