HealthHIV Gets $2M Grant to Help Minority Communities
The Health Resources and
Services Administration (HRSA) has granted HealthHIV a three-year, $2.975
million grant to create a new AIDS education and training center (AETC) to help
minority communities, according to a HealthHIV statement. AETCs provide
education and training programs for health care providers treating people
living with HIV/AIDS. The AETC National Center for HIV Care in Minority
Communities will expand care, treatment and support services for minority
communities in health centers nationwide. HealthHIV will implement the new AETC
with help from the National Association of Community Health Centers.
