New Prezista 600 mg Tablet Approved

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved a 600 mg tablet version of the protease inhibitor Prezista (darunavir), sold by Tibotec, thus reducing the number of pills a person must take each day. Currently, people taking Prezista must take two 300 mg tablets along with 100 mg of Norvir (ritonavir) twice a day. The company will continue to make the 300 mg tablet version. The new 600 mg tablet is expected to hit pharmacy shelves sometime in May.

Charles-Prezista, as 300mg tablets, is available now (including through Ryan White programs). The 600mg tablets won't be available until May.

Is this medication available to the public now? If not can I get with meds through a Ryan White connection?

I am Poz for 17 years and Prezista saved my life. I wrote out a whole story but I was disconnected from my derver. If interested in a great success story with Prezista please call me at 808-685-6702 or email me at my Foundation. West Oahu Hope For A Cure Foundation at which I am th Founder and Executive Director. Without Prexista I surely would not be able to serve the HIV population in Prevention and Care. Please visit www.wohfac.com Peace and Aloha, Joe Rattner+
