India to Provide Everyone Free Second-Line HIV Meds
India will provide second-line HIV medications for free to people who started their first-line treatment in private hospitals, Sify reports. This decision by the National AIDS Control Organization, the government agency that oversees India’s HIV/AIDS programs, is a reversal of its earlier position to only provide free second-line treatment to people who had started first-line treatment in government-funded public hospitals.
