Kate Thomson, formerly of UNAIDS, joins the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria as head of the Critical Enablers and Civil Society hub, according to a Global Fund statement. The new position seeks to strengthen efforts to promote human rights and civil society partnerships. Thomson has nearly 30 years of experience in AIDS advocacy, including global health and development. She has played a role in the creation of numerous global, regional and country-level networks of people living with the virus.
