HIV/AIDS Advocate Kory Montoya Dies
HIV/AIDS advocate Kory Montoya has died. A New Mexico Apache, Montoya held numerous leadership roles throughout the years in the Native American HIV/AIDS community.
According to Robert Foley, executive director of the National Native American AIDS Prevention Center, Montoya died at home in Portland, Oregon. Montoya was featured on the cover of POZ in March 2008.
A memorial is planned for Friday, August 20, in Dulce, New Mexico. For more details, please call Robert Foley at 720.383.2244, ext. 303.
