It’s Not Too Late To Start HIV Meds

Even if your CD4 count is very low when you’re diagnosed with HIV—well below 200, say—you can still benefit from taking HIV meds. In January’s issue of AIDS, the HIV-Causal Collaboration reported death rates falling by as much as 46 percent among people who began HIV therapy
with 100 and fewer CD4s.
