S.F. Medical Marijuana Dispensary Helps AIDS Hospice
A San Francisco medical marijuana dispensary donated $2,000 to Maitri, a hospice and short-term care facility for people living with HIV/AIDS, to help fund an awning for their patio, The Bay Area Reporter (BAR) reports. Residents use the outdoor space to medicate and when the weather is inclement they are unable to do so comfortably. The pot club, Apothecarium, is restricted from turning a profit because of laws governing medical cannabis dispensaries and co-owner Ryan Hudson pledged to funnel any profits back into the community.
