Most Americans Want Marijuana Policy Determined by States
A CBS News poll shows that 59 percent of Americans think marijuana legalization should be left up to each individual state government to decide, according to a Drug Policy Alliance statement. The poll also shows that 65 percent of Republicans and 49 percent of people who oppose legalizing marijuana want the matter decided at the state level. The poll was conducted after voters in Washington State and Colorado approved legalizing marijuana in their states.
