Not Meth-ing Around
Researchers at the Wake Forest School of Medicine found that one in 20 North Carolinian men who have sex with men have used crystal methamphetamine in the last month, raising concerns over the increased risk of transmitting HIV.
The study, published in AIDS Patient Care and STDs showed that participants who reported using methamphetamines were more likely to be HIV positive, use condoms inconsistently when performing anal sex and have a history of STDs.
