Bill Would Decriminalize Marijuana in Michigan
A bill to decriminalize marijuana for recreational use in Michigan will be introduced in the state House of Representatives, Michigan Radio reports. State Representative Jeff Irwin (D–Ann Arbor) will introduce a bill to lessen the penalty for recreational pot use. Detroit and Grand Rapids have already decriminalized pot. A 2012 poll shows Michigan voters are evenly split on legalizing recreational marijuana. Washington State and Colorado voters approved recreational pot use last year.
