Current and future funding gaps from foreign donors in the fight against HIV/AIDS in Nigeria are forcing government officials to find alternative domestic funding sources, including the private sector, The Guardian reports. About 3 million Nigerians are living with HIV. Although about 1.5 million people in the country need antiretroviral (ARV) treatment, only about 500,000 get ARVs, which mostly come from foreign donors.
