Good news: The nearly 1,000 HIV-positive people on New Jersey’s AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) who were going to lose their coverage as of August 1 because of state budget cuts will continue receiving their meds, The Associated Press (AP) reports. The state will get an additional $5 million in rebates from drug companies to cover the costs. New federal funds also contributed. However, HIV/AIDS advocates remain concerned about the future of the program.
