North Dakota Voters to Decide on Medical Marijuana
Supporters of medical marijuana legalization in North Dakota claim to have submitted enough petition signatures to put the issue on the ballot in November, The Associated Press (AP) reports. North Dakotans for Compassionate Care, a pro-medical marijuana group, said it delivered about 20,000 signatures to the North Dakota secretary of state. About 13,500 signatures are needed to qualify for a vote. The state has about a month to decide if the signatures are valid. North Dakota has never addressed the issue, and South Dakota has twice rejected medical marijuana legalization.
