Reports of HIV Motive for South African Ax Murders Are False
Joseph Ntshonwana, a 33-year-old former professional rugby player, has appeared in a South African court accused of murdering three men with an ax, the Daily Mail reports. In the ax attack, one man escaped unharmed. Ntshongwana is charged with three counts of murder, one count of attempted murder and one count of assault with the intention to commit grievous bodily harm. Initial reports said the killings were an act of revenge over Ntshongwana’s daughter being gang raped and becoming HIV positive as a result. The police say that Ntshongwana doesn’t have a daughter.
