POZ AIDS Walk New York 2010 Party

Local celebrities from ABC, CBS, here! and MTV came together at Love Out Loud, POZ's annual fund-raiser for AIDS Walk New York at Prohibition (503 Columbus Avenue) on May 12, 2010.

Thorsten Kaye (Zach) of All My Children was joined by costar Alicia Minshew (Kendall); One Life to Live's "Foxy Roxy" Ilene Kristen was accompanied by talented coworkers, Jason Tam, Matt Walton, Melissa Fumero, Michael Lowry, Sean Ringgold, BethAnn Bonner, David Fumero, Bree Williamson, David A. Gregory, Nicholas Rodriguez and Donovan Patton who appeared on One Life to Live but is also known as Joe from Blue's Clues. As the World Turns was once again represented by Mick Hazen (Parker) who was there along with former castmate Ben Levin from Ugly Betty. Scott Herman of The Real World: Brooklyn provided his fans with a very special greeting. There was a Guiding Light reunion with Mark Dobies, who has always been a good friend to POZ, Kim Zimmer, Orlagh Cassidy, Saundra Santiago, Bonnie Dennison and Caitlin Van Zandt. Actor Mike Dreyden was joined by local vocalist Gregory Nalbone.

POZ founder Sean Strub took the stage to speak words of encouragement to help mark POZ's efforts to support AIDS Walk New York which marked its 25th year. Strub also acknowledged the presence of those who work tirelessly and donate time and energy, among them Nicole Guide, who attended the festivities with a group of friends and colleagues.

The night's exceptional musical entertainment was provided by Ken Lundie (musical director from Radio City Music Hall), quintessential musician Murray Weinstock, cabaret chanteuse MarTina Vidmar, Nick Rodriguez, Kim Zimmer, Ilene Kristen, John Kouri with the Random Kings and very special guest Stewart Lewis.

Love Out Loud was about coming together to raise awareness about where we are going in the battle against HIV/AIDS. It marked POZ's fifth fund-raiser at Prohibition and the culmination of dedication on the part of Diane Nilsen, Rita Lisko and Karla Goden. An out loud thank you to the celebrities and their dedicated fans-some people never let you down.
