POZ's Fifth Annual New York AIDS Walk Fundraiser

POZ is pleased to announce our fifth annual fund-raiser for AIDS Walk New York, Love Out Loud, is Wednesday May 13 from 5:30 to 9:00 pm at Prohibition in Manhattan. Good friend to POZ, Ilene Kristen of One Life to Live is a very special guest as she has been from the start. Participants includes many local celebrities, most notably Marj Dusay, the accomplished actress who lost her son, Randall, to AIDS-related illness in 1993, and Mark Dobies, who appeared in Larry Kramer’s The Normal Heart. Also on board are the good-hearted Alicia Minshew and Thorsten Kaye of All My Children, both of whom have been a special source of inspiration to their fans. Michael Lowry, Florencia Lozano and that Optimum guy and Old Navy spokesman Matt Walton of One Life to Live will be there. Local celebrities Mike Dreyden and Gregory Nalbone will be attending to greet their many fans, as will Wicked Attractions’ Michael Emery, As the World Turns’ Vanessa Ray, Days of Our Lives’ Kevin Spirtas and The Real World: Brooklyn’s Scott Herman and singer/actor Billy Porter of the upcoming 20th anniversary revival of Angels in America. Kim Zimmer of Guiding Light is just one of the stars who will grace us with song. Music will be provided by John Kouri and the Random Kings along with special guests Stewart Lewis, MarTina Vidmar, Barbara Porteus with Ken Lundie and Murray Weinstock on the keyboard.
