New York City Offers Free Valentine's Day Condoms

In honor of Valentine’s Day, February 14, the New York City Health Department launched today a new slogan and wrapper for its branded condoms, the Associated Press reports (ap.google.com, 2/13).

The new slogan encourages New Yorkers to “get some” and will be featured heavily in the health department’s ad campaign, which includes television spots, radio ads and subway posters.

Following the success of last year’s condom repackaging, the design unveiled February 13 features the letters NYC in black with the word CONDOM underneath in bright colors. The AP reports that the Lifestyles brand condom inside remains the same.

The condoms will be distributed throughout Valentine’s Day at city hot spots such as Wall Street, City Hall and Times Square. New dispensers will also dole out the official New York City condoms at 900 locations, including restaurants, bars, salons and nonprofit organizations.
