The Ohio Department of Health is investigating the extent of a computer glitch by a third-party insurance administrator that delayed payments to HIV-positive people, The Columbus Dispatch reports. The state pays COBRA payments for about 120 unemployed HIV-positive residents so they can keep their health insurance and afford their HIV medications. At least nine checks were sent to the wrong place, but the problem could be larger. The delays nearly resulted in people losing their insurance.
