Paige Rawl, 18, who was born with HIV, is one of five finalists in Seventeen magazine’s Pretty Amazing Real-Girl Cover Contest. Rawl, who is from Indianapolis, was profiled in a 2011 POZ feature titled “All Grown Up With HIV.” According to Seventeen’s profiles of the finalists, at age 14 Rawl became the youngest HIV/AIDS educator through the American Red Cross and she has been speaking to teens across the country about the virus ever since. The Pretty Amazing winner will be determined by a panel of judges and public votes.
