The CBS prime-time game show Power of 10 told viewers what POZ has told you for years: Stigma lurks in America’s pools (see “Off the Deep End"). The program, in which contestants predict how the public has responded to edgy poll questions, asked: “What percentage of Americans said they would swim in a pool with someone who they knew was HIV positive?” The answer: only 53 percent, which the show sold as a majority endorsement for HIV awareness. Apparently, their pool is half full.
