POZ editor-in-chief Regan Hofmann’s memoir, I Have Something to Tell You, hit bookshelves September 22. In anticipation of the book’s release, she shared her story recently in the New York Post.

“I know there is no shame in having this virus,” Hofmann wrote in the Post. “And I know that only when the world understands this, hopefully people living with HIV will be treated with the compassion and dignity they deserve. Our only hope of stopping the spread of this easily preventable and survivable disease is to find the courage to talk about it.”

An excerpt from the memoir was printed in the October issue of POZ. You can read it here.
