Parni Plus, an online community for HIV-positive men in Russia, was blocked and deleted in July two times without any prior notice by Mail.ru, a free email service in that country, according to The Petrelis Files blog, which posted a Facebook message from a member of the group. The message claims the interruptions are a result of the recently passed antigay law in Russia that prohibits “propaganda of untraditional relationships.” Further, the message asserts that the antigay law is causing officials and business people to ban or hamper HIV prevention programs for men who have sex with men.
