The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has allotted more than $1.9 billion for the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program for fiscal year 2013, according to a statement by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), the HHS agency that oversees the program. The funds help provide services from states, cities and local community-based organizations for more than half a million people living with the virus who lack sufficient health care coverage or financial resources to pay for treatment.
