Sisterhood Mobilized for AIDS/HIV Research & Treatment (SMART) in New York City has moved its operations into two nearby locations, according to a SMART statement. The group, which is run by and for women with HIV, provides educational programs and a supportive community. For the past two years, SMART had operated from Bailey House’s Rand Harlan Center for Housing, Wellness and Community in East Harlem. It has split its operations into two other East Harlem locations, which are run by Supportive Children’s Advocacy Network (SCAN). The move gives SMART access to additional classroom space and a larger teaching kitchen.
