A van used by a Connecticut HIV group to deliver meals to about 175 people was stolen, WTNH reports. AIDS Project New Haven helps a total of about 400 people with its HIV services. The van eventually showed up, but it was stripped of its parts. The group got about $6,000 in insurance money, which is not enough to replace the van. The group has another van, but that one is used to transport fragile clients to medical appointments. Until the stolen van is replaced, volunteers are using their own cars and the medical appointments van when it’s available.
