The New York Times Profiles POZ Founder Sean Strub

On October 9, The New York Times published a profile on HIV-positive POZ founder Sean Strub in anticipation of his participation in this weekend’s LGBT National Equality March in Washington, DC.

Strub first marched for gay rights in 1979, at the age of 21. He has since been dedicated to advocating for LGBT people and those living with and affected by HIV.

In addition to helping out with the march itself, which will take place Sunday, October 11, Strub worked with Christine Campbell of Housing Works to organize an HIV/AIDS rally and vigil that will be held the night before.

“I feel like the grandpa,” said Strub, 51, following a preparatory conference call. “This is being created by a new generation of activists. So bright and excited.”

Thanks to Sean for being so dedicated to our cause. And thanks to the "new generation", you can learn much from Grandpa Sean. Thanks again.
