Task Force Seeks Insurance Coverage of Routine HIV Testing
The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force has released draft recommendations supporting routine HIV testing for all Americans ages 15 to 65 and all pregnant women, Reuters reports. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention made similar recommendations in 2006. Under the Affordable Care Act (a.k.a. the health care reform law), health insurance companies are required to cover preventive services recommended by the task force. The draft recommendations will be available for public comment for 30 days before final recommendations are released in 2013.

Who is financially benefiting from all of these tests? And why aren't other countries following our example? There is more to the story here than meets the eye. Our pharmaceutical companies are driving this... ages 15 - 65? Gee, I wonder how many $$$ that represents!!! And until the results can be kept away from nefarious sources, I say "NO"!
