LGBT People With HIV in Uganda Face Life in Prison Under Law

Despite widespread international disapproval, Yoweri Museveni, the president of Uganda, has signed an anti-LGBT bill into law passed by the legislature in 2013, CNN reports. The law criminalizes homosexual acts. People convicted of “aggravated homosexuality”—which includes same-sex acts with children or by LGBT people who are HIV positive—could face life in prison. Museveni had backed away from signing the law, but changed his position because he claims Ugandan scientists had determined that homosexuality is a choice.

This is most interesting in President Yoweri Museveni in his attempt to take a High Moral Ground. Uganda is rank 146 out of 176 countries with the worst corruption. Noting stealing from US AIDS Charity money, where his wife was stopped at a Swiss broader with 25 million in cash, ear mark for orphans and the sick. He is disgusting in acts of stealing from the poor and orphans, his families values. His government is really the moral corruption of values. Putting a scape goat on gay people,2Shame

The President my stated it was not about righteous; however, some Faith Leaders in the Tele World ministries like a Dr Peacher here in Jacksonville, where she is teaching gay as a choice to the global churches and that gay men are gay because of maculation from one's mothers. Old science and Old dogma where the faith leaders state they are not political, but preaching hate and acts of meanness. Sad for other Faith Leaders in this dogma are causing suicide in young gay people, not to own up to it too.

Metropolitan Community Churches in Tornato is setting up an escape plan for the ones in need to find assembly and can be contacted at JasonONeillatMCCchurchdotnet in fear of fall out of harm and abuse from this new law. Sad as a civil society turns to being uncivil in acts and deeds.
