A new report shows that investing greater resources since 2001 to fight HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria in Africa has contributed to economic prosperity, according to a statement by UNAIDS, which jointly published the report with the African Union. The report makes five main recommendations for sustaining and improving these results: unifying leadership, generating innovative financing, making smarter investments in health, strengthening human resources and ensuring no one is left behind.
