The governing body of the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) has called on the group to support country and international efforts to revise national targets for universal access to antiretroviral (ARV) treatment. The UNAIDS Programme Coordinating Board wants countries to implement the 2013 World Health Organization guidelines on access to treatment. The board also wanted UNAIDS to help reduce the price of medicines, as well as support technical assistance and capacity development.
